Scalp Washing After HT Operation

How to wash your hair after hair transplantation is very important for the healing process to proceed smoothly. Here are the general steps to follow:

First Day

Avoid Washing: Hair should not be washed for the first day after hair transplantation. During this time, the hair follicles should be allowed to heal and settle.

First Wash (Usually Day 2)

Gentle Cleansing: For the first wash, use a shampoo or cleanser recommended by your hair transplant specialist. Generally, special shampoos are recommended after hair transplantation.

Use of Water at Moderate Temperature: When washing your hair, make sure the water is warm or at room temperature. Hot water can damage hair follicles.

Gently Massage: Cleanse the scalp gently by massaging with your fingertips. Absolutely avoid harsh movements and rubbing.

Drying the Scalp: Gently dry the scalp with a towel or cotton cloth. Avoid pulling the hair strand.

First 1 Week

Hair Washing Frequency: It is generally recommended to wash hair 1-2 times a day. However, follow the advice of your doctor or hair transplant specialist.

Beware of Temperature: Avoid hot showers. Wash your hair using lukewarm water.

Avoiding Chemical Products: Avoid applying chemical-containing products (hairspray, gel, etc.) to your hair.

General Recommendations

Using Gentle Products: Skin may be sensitive after hair transplantation, so use pH-balanced, mild and gentle hair care products.

Scalp Protection: To protect the hair transplanted area, avoid pressure, friction or harsh movements on the scalp.

Sun Protection: If possible, avoid direct sunlight or wear a hat to protect your head.

Each individual's healing process may be different, so it is important to follow your doctor's specific recommendations regarding your post-hair transplant hair care.
